Had a quick return to the USA so I'm out chasing the birds.
This Red Tailed Hawk was very obliging I was trying to show a little environment -5 bright blue sky and harsh light.
1D mk3 ISO 400 800mm f/7.1 1/1600sec hnd held through vehicle window the bird would not be there if I tried to get out and use a tri pod.
Shot in RAW to LR then to PS4 as TIFF to resize and jpeg to post.
These birds area common in the area and almost one sitting on alternate power poles.
I like it Barry, perhaps lift the shadows a little preferably on conversion.... main nit is the branch entering the bird on the left, might be worth the work to remove it for presentation...

Thanks Phil
Removing the branch is somewhat beyond my PP limits. I do see what you mean though.

Nits covered, I like this very much Barry. I remember seeing them over there myself a couple of years ago, but was unable to get any decent images, so well done.

Hello Barry.
Works for me and the composition fits this image fine.
Agree with Phil about the branch and just needs lightening a little.
