The iFotoGuide press release was picked up by Yahoo News here: http://bit.ly/8aTZUd. Dan and I would sincerely appreciate your help to make the article "Buzzworthy" which would give it even higher visibility. If you click the link above, then click "Buzz Up!" at top or bottom of the article you'll be helping us out big time.

Thanks in advance for all your support!

Bret, I hit it several times but it didn't change the vote count. Do you have to log in?
Posted by Dan Baumbach on December 5, 2009 at 8:01 PM
I know it asked me to log in when I did it.

Yes, you have to have a free Yahoo account, i.e. email. If you don't have an account I do appreciate that you tried to help us out, Dean. :toast:

Bret/Dan, slightly OT: it'd be great to have an NPN iPhone app, wouldn't it? My thought was to have it linked to the ESS forum where app owners would have a constant influx of new images daily. Maybe members could log in and comment. There can also be a page with links to the other forums, plus whatever other features you can think of.

The good part is that it would increase exposure to NPN. The bad part is it could attract a host of non-pro photogs who spend their whole day posting in forums with filthy language, etc. The app would block that, but the webpage would be vulnerable.

Just brainstormin'...

Paul: That's not a bad idea at all. You might consider emailing Jim and Donna w/ your idea.

Thanks, Paul and Tim for buzzin' us up!

I offered to make an NPN app for Jim some time ago, but he didn't respond when I mentioned that I would want to be paid for my work. I can't say I blame him because after all this time, Jim still has a full time job to support his family.

Also, it would mean having a special html/xml feed for the app so it could present things properly so that would require more work on his end.

I think it's a great idea, but whoever develops it either does it for love or has to figure out a way to make it pay for itself.
