one taken from a couple of weeks ago of a procession of stags taken very early in the morning before - just before the sunrise, hence the high iso

focal length 400mm
iso 3200, 1/640, f9.0

Like it Jeff, I would perhaps crop to a pano format and loose a little from the right of the image.

Great shot Jeff, I agree with Phil a pano crop would work well along with it being printed big!

Nice image Jeff. Agree with Phil re a pano format. Is that a little dust bunny top left? Sorry but am now seeing things that I couldn't before since my monitor has been calibrated. Opens up a whole new world

Nice shot and I'm sure it would look great in pano and with the trim on right. I like the way the light is just emerging over the brow of the hill.

Another vote for the pano format, but a lovely image Jeff. A pleasure to view.

Hello Jeff.

Nice capture and really like the way the stags are against the bright part of the sky.

Another vote for the pano and why f9? 5.6 would do the trick and you would have had an even faster shutter speed. But still....I like it lots. Red deer against red sunlight. Beautiful.

Hi Jeff
I can understand that in the heat of the moment your priority would be to keep the deer sharp but just in case a similar situation crops up again I think it would be worth considering putting the deer near the bottom of the frame (or even near the top). Yes you will have a lot of sky or dark foreground but you'd also have a tremendously publishable image, at the moment the comp is a little half and half for me, just a suggestion
