This guy flew across me as I was waiting for the Kites to come closer, they of course didn't but I am happy with this shot. Any c&c appreciated.

Hello Liam
Hope you don't mind but I have had a little play with your image, if you want me to delete it I will. All I have done is crop it to a more panoramic image, tweaked the curves to darken the background and added a bit of saturation to punch the red of the pheasant a bit more. I then added a bit of sharping to the final image. Hope that helps because this is a really nice shot.

Wonderful. Both of them. I really think the that tweak did a great job. I also like the background. It gives it a bit of a forest feel to it.

I can well image at larger size this looks somewhat better. For me though it doesnt quite work as it seems a little lost. I can see where Danny is coming from in terms of giving the bird some more punch but there are limitations.
I think this image has potential as Danny has shown, if you take his advice and then try and improve with the original (you don't say if it was shot in RAW or not) then there is a great image waiting for you....

Thanks for the comments, espec to Danny for the edit. I think it is a lot better, I have shot in raw so I will have a go at re-editing.
Hi Liam
Nice image and the tweak has helped it though sausage fingers hasn't left enough space for the pheasant to fly into so its a combination of your composition and Danny's tweak for me.
Cheers

First one for me as the bird needs the space to fly into, agree the tweek looks miles better, a lovely image made by the light or lack of it should I say
