Otters play fighting
I watched these two young Otters for over a half an hour as they played and groomed each other in the early morning sunshine. It really was one of those moments that wildlife photographers dream about. Amazing experience.

LOL at you lot! Don't take any notice of that lot Danny, they are only jealous. So am I, but at least I am polite and admit it:biggrin:

Another superb image, in fact I prefer this to your last one, it is a little more up close and personal. Love it loads.

You must have put in days for light like that. Almost studio like.

So this will be the best UK otter shot ever taken then, or are the any other contenders?

Well I can perhaps answer Andy P's question - this looks to me like the best otter cub play/interaction pic I've ever seen - and to point out that even simply seeing something like this is a special moment - and I once spent 18 months behind an Arriflex filming otters on Mull and, in all the hundreds and hundreds of hours spent living with and watching them and trying to film them, NEVER saw anything as well illuminated and intimate as this image. Danny doesn't just have luck, he works bloody hard to get to the right places and puts the time in to make these moments happen for him. Hat's off to you sir!

Otters are very hard to get near as I found out in the summer, but on the day I was leaving Mull after a week of playing 'runaround' they all turned up at the port to wave me off :frown: :frown: so knowing that, this is a stunning shot, photographed in that dream light we all wish for as photographers and perfectly taken Danny  :wavey:
