Hi,

Another from my trip on Saturday, wish that these people who decide to dig up a huge length of the M1 would consider how much the 50mph limit adds to your ETA, I watched it go from 7.30am to 8.10 on my sat nav just on that one stretch of road...

Walked in the opposite direction to the madding crowd and found my own small colony which gave many different opportunities, this one, although not as much action is a favourite of mine, the central comp was a concious decision.

On a side note I had coffee with a couple of the wardens as I had had a go at some german tourists with P&S cameras pointing them in the face of a pup stopping mum from getting there. They are not blaming photographers as such, they are putting more blame on tourists and family groups.... they encourage you to have a go and let those who are not respecting the animals space know what they are doing wrong.

All the best

Phil

That's twice today I thought I had a dirty screen (the sand) lol. Very nice once again Phil, looks like you made the most of an excellent opportunity.

Good to know you sorted out the tourists too, sadly many visitors don't know how to respect the animals or give the pups any consideration. Interesting reaction by the wardens too.

Hi Phil
Some good stuff being produced from DN at the moment and I think the intimate pov really adds to this image. I can see why you went for the central compoition, it needed it and I particularly like the seals casually goonish expression, she looks chilled!

that's nice Phil. I particularly like the smooth water in front and the low POV.

Central comp is the essence of the shot here Phil - no question about it. :toast:

There were so many flash guns going off on the boardwalk last night it looked like a bloomin' pop concert.

Lovely image, with a nice low point of view.

I agree that it needs a central crop than usual, Phil. I am also pleased to hear that the wardens realise that it is not the photographers who are the real problem, and well done for having a go at those who were keeping a mother from her calf.

Liking the different aspects of your recent stuff Phil and kudos for educating the masses..! I don't think anything other than a central crop will have worked and the LPOV works well as intended.

Look forward to catching up.
