a little light for me too, but still a very nice shot. Shows how tricky they are to spot on a ploughed field.

How's that.?

First one looks too light, second looks a bit drab and flat - go back to first version and pull your HL down 2 or 3 points and move the mids slightly right - it should 'pop' if you tinker around for a minute or two.

Nice comp Major - I wish I could find some of the little gems - it's all Red Legs up here.

Very nice shot, Major. Second one looks much better.

I prefer the second one, even though I do agree with Andy that it looks a little bit flat. Even so, it is one more grey partridge than I have even seen, let alone photographed, in recent years.

A great find as these birds are very 'jumpy', composition is very good and I like the first one as the second's to dark  Nice low angle, lovely shot Major   :wavey:

Great work Major, I know how difficult it is to find these then keep them still! I agree the best images lies somewhere between the two versions posted.

Great image Major, but somewhere in the middle of the two images would be perfect. Wish i could get them to behave like this!! :toast: :toast:
