I currently use the sharpening software in photoshop 6. I'm looking at purchasing NIK Sharpening S/W. Wondering if its worth the cost?
Any comments appreciated.

You may want to look at Pixel Genius's Photo Kit as well.

Hey Don, the Nik programs are excellent and easy to use, including the Sharpener Pro, let me know if your buying I can get you a 15% discount on your order.

You can get similar results for free using Glenn Mitchell's Professional Sharpening Actions. They're based on and are almost exactly the same as PixelGenius' PhotoKit sharpener.

I really like Nik software programs/plugins. To me they have been worth the money due to their versatility.

Don,

Be sure to find out if the latest NIK plugins are supported by PS6, and vice versa. PS 6 is pretty old, and the newer versions have much more to offer.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. John and Neil thanks for suggesting an alternative product I'll look into it. If I go with NIK I'll get in touch with you Mike. Good point Preston I'll research its compatibility with 6. Thanks for sharing your experience with the product Hali.

I use all of Nik's products, not just the sharpening. They save a heck of a lot of time and are well worth the money
