Canon has recently opened a 3rd repair facility in Newport News, VA (the other two are Irvine, CA and somewhere in NJ). This VA facility is supposedly very state-of-the-art. Anyway, my 16-35mm/2.8 was soft on the left side of the images so I set up a warranty repair and sent it off to this new place (got there today actually). I'll write back after I get the lens returned to me and let y'all know how it fared. Irvine has always been the standard, so we'll see how it goes.
Jamesburg, NJ is the location of the Canon NJ Service Center

Thanks. I was born in NJ, I should have known that...

OK, the website says the repair was completed today, pending return shipping. They got the lens Monday so that's not a bad turnaround time.
I'll post back when I get the lens and test it.

I realize I never did post back with results. Lens was fine-tuned (however they do that) and the image quality has improved, and CA has reduced. Great job they did, and they pack really well which is nice.
