Was in Washington DC for the first two weeks of Nov. Spent most of my photography time taking pictures of the National Mall area, but went out to Great Falls National Park one weekend. Really crappy weather but I think B/W's turned out ok. Comments welcome.

Just after sunset. Compression is really killing these shots.

And here's a Pano, two images stitched. Would like to hear if you like the B/W or Color.

These are quite nice Brian. I like the B&W version of the pano best.

These would really blaze if those trees had great color, but they're still cool. I like the first one best.

I like all of them but call me crazy, I much prefer the color pano. Lovely color palette throughout the image. I wonder if a slightly darker sky would draw less attention from the beautiful landscape?
I know they aren't nature but I'd sure love to see some of your images from the National Mall.

1 and 4 are both great. I agree with Brett about the color pano. Really nice colors here.

I also like the color pano. quite a bit, although it could use a bit more contrast and burning down the skies a bit.
I like the B&W on the 1st one quite a bit. The color in the last one does add a nice touch. It looks like it would really come to life in a bigger presentation.

This scene is worthy of BW.

Thanks for the comments everyone. As others have commented it's tough to put this much into a 700px shot. Compression and size really kills this image.
Todd: Ya I scheduled my Pentagon meetings the first week of Nov hoping it would be peak season but like our unusual fall colors the east coast did have great colors they just came about 2 weeks earlier than normal.
Bret: I've just finished sorting through all of them. I've sent several nights over the past few years scouting different locations so I'm hoping that I got a few keepers. I'll at least post a link here to some of them sometime this week.
John: I agree, something needs to be done about the sky. It was just a real crappy sky day.
Again thanks for the comments

Nice shots, Brian. Those certainly bring back some memories for me. 10 years ago, Great Falls was my usual destination on the rare occasions that I could sneak out of the office for an hour or two.

Great shots, I think the pano's are my favorites

Did you see Joe Rossbach there? Seems he's always posting great shots from there. I ditto what's been said on the pano. Very nice work, Brian.

"Did you see Joe Rossbach there?"
Actually I think I did see him there. He was giving a workshop, but he looked busy and and I was trying to get as many locations as I could so I didn't go and chat with him.
