A Red on a Wall
My last Red Squirrel for now, at least until the snow comes. This is another from Arran but in a more wooded area. I didn't manage many sharp ones in this position due to the poor light but this one worked out ok. Just a little cleaning up of the background done.

Edit: I've reposted this one as the saturation was overdone originally. Just recalibrated and its made a big difference.

1D3 500mm ISO:800 1/40 sec @ f/5.6

Thanks for looking

Simon

Hi Simon, refreshing to see a different 'perch', like it!

He looks a bit bedraggled, a testimony to the weather I think. BG, I think could be better () and possibly a little selective USM, but this is an individual thing. Still, it's always nice to see these ones anyway.

Hi Simon

Considering the conditions a nicely framed portrait!

Greta moment captured and no doubt getting wet from taking advantage of some snacks to hand..? I too like the different 'perch', a well composed shot. I think the light was against you on this one and maybe a slight movement in the subject meant it's not a sharp as it could be but I look forward to more.
