Returning to the Roost
Juv. female Hen Harrier returning to the roost after sunset- hence complete lack of any colour.

I love this! The small bird, big landscape thingy really appeals to me. The background is excellent and the whole thing has a really abstract quality thats not often captured. Excellent!

I love this as well Michael got a lovely feel to it, just up the contrast a bit.

I also like this for it's abstract quality and agree with Danny's comment. It almost looks like a flock of small birds being spooked by the appearance of the raptor, but I assume it's the seed heads of Phragmites..?

Michael do feel that you have nearly pulled off this image but for the fact the Harrier is not sharp enough in frame but a difficult one achieve in any circumstance.
