Bird on a wire
A greenfinch from earlier in the year. I have cloned a bit of wire from the shot. I think I prefer the bird smaller in the frame on this occassion.

Very nice Ian. The oof background is lovely and the bird position between the two yellow 'blobs' is very good. Comp is very natural too. Simple, but very effective.

Like it loads Ian... I do feel personally it becomes even stronger with a pano crop, great back view with a perfect head turn....

I love the pose in this one - especially the head tuft ! With a pan crop I reckon bird higher up and a tad left. Or go the other way and do an upright. Minor points on a good shot anyway.

I like this to and having considered Phil's comment I would agree that a pano crop would work very well here and maybe a tad off of the LHS.. Otherwise well seen and isolated.. Shame the 'ringers' have been at it already..

Works very well for bird as I am a great lover of 'small in the frame' shots, colours and BG are a dream and the pose showing a slight crest is brillant, lovely image Ian  :wavey:

Lovely image Ian, I agree with Craig the background is perfect but just a slice off the top like overs have said.

Hello Ian as commented perhaps a crop here and there would make the image somewhat stronger. Very good BG and I do like to see birds perched on rusty wire others may disagree.

Hi Ian

Nice alert pose in nice soft light with a good BG - agree needs cropping tighter as there is not enough interest in other parts of the frame!
