I just heard on the news that a huge swell is headed for Hawaii this week with the biggest waves they've seen in years- up to 45 foot waves expected on the north shore of Oahu and Maui. I hope somebody out there gets to shoot it!

This was a story on the TV news tonight. Really BIG waves and tiny little surfers.

Hey, tickets are cheap right now to the islands. Hawaiian Air has tickets priced well below 300 bucks to Oahu right now. I even saw one flight as low as $214 round trip! Thats pretty tempting for a quick 5 day getaway....

I've spent 100's of days up there on watching the big waves when I lived there. Just amazing when the waves get up into the 40-60 foot range. The Eddie was yesterday for any of you surf fans. One of my buddies was there taking pictures but I haven't seen them yet.

Hank, the swell will be gone by then. They have been in the 40-50 (face) size Mon - today but by next Monday they will only be in the 5-10 (face) range.

Ya, I'm sure. Last night it was -12 in Denver without the wind chill.

Try to stay warm :jump:
