Wild California
Mojave Desert

I see some faces in here somewhere.

Took me a few tries to get the color how I wanted it.

Steve,

I think I see them too. It's always difficult for me to compose a shot without the sky in much less just some rock strata in a canyon, but you pulled it off. This is a very subtle image, especially in the shades of color. It's different but I like it, I wonder if there's any agates or nice jasper down this wash.

Steve,

The colors look fantastic to me, so great job on the processing. I think you nailed it.

I too see some faces and maybe a couple of creatures too! You've pulled out an excellent little intimate scene that not only showcases the geology, but is catching some soft, wonderful light.

Works for me.

There’s a lot of geologic time captured here and the light really brings out the color of the rocks. Another cool shot, Steve.

This more intimate abstract is my favorite from the set Steve, the light here seems to have more definition, which helps too. I did like the slight blueish rocks in one of the other takes though.

Steve, geological formations are no doubt excellent subjects to photograph. The striations and layers or tiers of this formation are excellent pieces of work. The light really makes the detail come through here as well.

Steve,
Really nice job with the colors and shadows. A bit of mystery is contained here, too.

Steve,

First, I really like rock-scpaes, and this one is excellent. The soft light and pleasing color work nicely. Well done!

Once you go into the crack you never come back!

Thanks guys. The color of the rock changed dramatically inbetween the harsh daylight and twilight.

I don't see any faces yet, but I see nice shades of red and good light. I like it and the way you frame the image. Good stuff!

Nice Steve...got an abstract feeling to it and the light is what pulls out the image...Seems like you are determined to bring out most of the slot canyons of California
