From a recent daytrip to Hanging Rock State Park in Stokes County, NC. Really enjoyed my time at this waterfall. Spent a good little while that afternoon shooting the fall, as well as the cascades just below it. Definitely worth the trip.

I've greatly appreciated the feedback I've received since I started posting here a few weeks ago. Thank you everyone for your thoughtful input.

Nate-

I haven't been to this fall yet so thanks for the report and the thumbs up.

May be my monitor, but this looks a little dark to me. The veiling of the water is very nice though.

Fair point. Thank you. I tend to purposefully underexpose my images, though admittedly sometimes I overdo it. This may have been one of those cases.

Here's a link to a version with the aperture open an extra stop (though still underexposed):

Thank you again for the feedback. It's much appreciated.

Nate,
I agree that it's a bit dark, but lovely anyways.

I'm very familiar with Hanging Rock. You've done a wonderful job with this fall here Nate! Much nicer than any of my pix from the park. . .

An absolutely gorgeous shot! I like the lighter one better, I think it is a perfect exposure.
