One from a great day spent at Slimbridge, it was pleasing to see that a couple of the males were displaying, my shutter speed was dangerously low here to get a sharp image.
All the best

A really good image and unbelievable for 1/200th. Shame about the bangle on its leg but not a lot you can do about that.

great behaviour and colours, really like the light on the splash of water
Nice capture Phil. Glad your day wasn't wasted. I have taken loads of shots of these but find them very difficult to expose correctly.

Worth the lay down then Phil. I like the y way you knew what you wanted well before we got there.
Good to meet everyone and a great day.
I still think this low angle should be banned since they called the emergency services out I hear.
I,ve been depressd since I got home thinking about 4 foot long camo covered lenses and grumble heads or whatever they call them. Most of my stuff was bin material.
Cheers

I can't believe you don't get these on your ponds John.
A good behavioural shot of a beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing it.
