Dunes a few weeks back
I haven't posted much around here lately. I've been really swamped with work but I have been looking and there was a lot of nice work posted here.

A few Sundays ago I decided to go for a last minute trip to the dunes. Mostly because I was curious about the ice at Zapata Falls but also just to get away for a few hours. And as always, the short time I spent there turned into another memorable trip with yet another incredible sunset. Here are some of my favorites. C&C welcome as I seem to be having some issues with my camera lately.

All are very nice, I think number 3 is my favorite of the dunes, I really love the glow on the sands. 4 is fantastic as well, very neat comp. Great work all around.

Nice shots! I like the second dunes shot, and that last one is really well-crafted.

The snow really adds to the dynamic of the dunes. Looks like you had some nice light while there. Nice work.

Wonderful light on that cloud in #1.

Love the second and third one... I think the first one will look much more dramatic with reducing the exposure a bit... :toast:

#'s 1, 4 & 5 are my favorites.
Really liking the ice falls and that intimate flow you got. How much work was it to get back there?

Thanks everyone!

John, climbing a frozen creek up-hill in hiking boots is never easy. There was a little bit of hands and knees crawl but it wasn't too bad. For as injury prone as I have been lately I managed to not break anything

#1 and #5 are my favorites. Very nice composition on #5. hard to tell at this size but it looks like you may have a little bit of haloing on the mountains on the right side of #1. Great set of images, I wish my camera would act up like that.

Wow do I love that first image. Very fresh take on a subject we see a lot. Looks like you had some really nice conditions.

Very nice with the ice and flow in the last one. Great motivation to go find some ice to shoot!
