Winter is coming
Finally winter is coming. Although snow is rare over here I could do with some frost. And it's coming. -6C next week. Yeah!!!

This one is from 2 winters ago. I had a perfect morning and enjoyed every minute of it. This male is feeding on seeds which they do all winter.

Great wintery feel to this one, Edwin. I would like to see the bird a little larger in the frame, I think I can see some detail in the eye, but at this size I'm not sure. Still a great, atmospheric shot.

Hi Ed
Belting shot as always, I'd crop a bit from the right hand side and the top, about an inch on screen as I think it is surplus space around the bird and detracts a little. Still an absolutely cracking shot I hasten to add
Cheers

When winter comes our way, I hope it brings some of these. Cracking shot! I agree with Andrews crop suggestion.

Slight crop as suggested Ed, but a fine shot nevertheless.

I love the space in this Ed, and a beautiful bird as well. Perhaps a little off the rh side, but I know if I tried I'd overcrop it, so probably best as it is. :toast:

Hi Ed

superb as always, I agree that taking some canvas from the right would increase the imapct even further
