Out shooting pictures in the cold. Asked to come indoors and "take a couple of shots" of something. Went inside, realized I needed to change lenses.
Went to shoot, everything is foggy. No fog on the eyepiece, no fog on the lens.
When you trap warm, moist, indoor air between a cold camera and a cold lens--guess what: condensation on the inner surface of the lens, and possibly on the sensor. Took me fifteen minutes of embarrassing incompetence to figure out and dry out. Thank goodness for automatic sensor cleaning, I had to leave the camera open and exposed in a dark room for ten minutes.
