I'm wondering if it's possible to walk all the way thru the subway. I don't recollect seeing photos from the other side, so I ask.

Thanks

No. Beyond the Subway where you've seen photos, the route becomes a technical canyoneering route which is done top down. It requires ropes and there is a deep water section. There certainly are photos of the rest of left fork out there if you want to look around.

Here's one of 'em.
You can see more images along with more info. on that reach here.
Many years ago, a friend of mine was able to get up to that upper part where the log is upstream from the Subway because of a rope left behind. I wouldn't count on one being there now as the rangers take them out due to safety concerns.

Canyoneering? Why can't you just climb down the tree?

Jimmy Gekas and I made it up to the area directly above subway a couple of years ago. We lucked out and someone was coming from the top down and lowered a rope for us. It's a pretty cool area. I would have liked to have spent more time there and at a better time of day, but it was still fun. We had to wade/swim through cold chest deep water to get across to the falls.

Here are a couple of images from the area. Nothing great, but gives you a sense of what's up there.

At the end of this pool where the water turns dark green is the 6 foot section of chest deep water.

Thank you, Thank you, for the link, photos and description. Looks pretty neat from here in Washington state. I'm not a rope kinda guy so I'm thinking that route is out for me. Maybe ladders and steps but that's it. Nice to see the other side.

Luke, That boulder hanging? there in the 1st photo looks pretty nifty.

Yeah, it's kind of wedged in between the walls and it creates a small waterfall. It's a pretty cool little chamber.
