Very nice Major. Clean, simple with good catchlight and a very complementary BG. I guess flipping it might work?

HI Major

What a great capture, I like the composition and the framing of the gorse, sharp and great out of focus background.

Well done in my opinion

Totally agree with Steve on this one, plus that lovely lighting is showing off those breast feathers a treat, nice one Major.

Hi Major :wavey:

Great pose perch and background

I dont want to start a big dbate but why would you want to flip it ? Is there a law that says birds must look the left ?

John this is a Male Linnet and its sat on its look out post. Its not carrying food so your comment re going back to a nest is unfounded. Its a sad day when you try to discredit an image in this way. Constructive comments would be so much nicer. As for the poo well with my cloning skills I can just clone it out. Simples as the Meercat says.
Thank you very much all for your comments everybody.

Not trying to dis credit the picture at all with my reference to the nest. Why should I for goodness sake ?
Just interested thats all as its a bird I,ve never been able to get as a percher.

I like the bird, and the gorse puts it right where it belongs. Very nice.

Quite stunning image Major and obviously a well used perch by all the dropping but very well executed and love the use of the gorse for 'framing'.. Beautiful light.

A bit late with commenting sorry. I love the light on this one Major, super clean b/g, and the gorse frames the bird beautifully.
