Can anyone ID this fish for me please, found on the same stretch of coast.

The fish was about 20in long and about 10in deep if this helps.

Cheers

nice shot andy and i think the fish may be a black bream but not 100%

Looks like one of the Jacks (Carangidae) but I'm no expert. I can try asking our marine officer at work.

A 'nice' habitat shot Andy, the blue BG lifts the bird out well.

Is the fish from 'Stingray'?

A very nice image of the Knot. Like the lighting on the front of the bird. The blue BG and seaweed "perch" makes for a very nice image. The fish? I have no idea but he looks a bit miserable :frown:

Cheers guys, pleased you like the Knot shot, I too liked the lighting on the face and breast.

Thanks for suggestions on the fish too, I have just looked for it on the web, it is a Bream, but it turns out to be a Ray's Bream ( Brama brama )

Many thanks

Lightly fried in butter and served with a little parsley ... nice knot too by the way, you've caught the light very well!

Beautiful shot of the bird. :toast:

If you had enough prior to the crop, I'd like to see a little more space above the bird, but I really am digging deep for crits. Just a thought.

Really very nice shot Andy and very well seen and executed. I find that my eye is drawn to the very dark weed on the middle RHS of the image but without patching or cloning I'm not sure what could have been done. So with that i mind I will just accept it for the natural and great looking image that it is.

A bit late commenting here sorry. But a super image of the Knot, I like the way the lighting falls across it's face and breast, very nice indeed.
