Love the contrast between the color of the vine maple and the scorched Doug Fir bark Cliff. (Does the vine maple come out of the tree?) I might make a small crop from the left side and top, and bring out the shadows a touch more. You've got a winner here.

I'll echo David in all points, except I'd probably take the crop off the right and top. Great contrast; I love where this is headed!
