Stolen Gear: Please Keep an eye out

Hi all,

Unfortunately I have just had the home burgled - a good chuck of my camera gear has been taken - please keep an eye out for the following going on sale - chances are the stuff may have been moved quickly to the UK or Mainland Europe.

Canon 1 Ds II
Canon 40D
Sigma 500mm f4.5
Canon 17-40mm

More news as I get it.

Update

Here is the list of stolen gear.

Canon 1 Ds II
Canon 40D
Canon 17-85mm
Sigma 500mm f4.5 with sidekick
Sigma 150mm 2.8
Canon 17-40mm
Canon 65 mm MPE
Canon 1.4 x Extender
2X 420EX Flashs
1 580ex flash

Sorry to hear that Michael . I hope you get sorted with the insewerants companies.

If you're with CPS, then it may be worth your while trying to inform them of the stolen serial no's in case the gear is ever put in for servicing.

Micheal, could you post any serial numbers please.

Nick, Tom,

Thanks for the support. I am currently getting back to normal. The thieves thrashed the place a good bit and my IT equipment was also taken. So I have only the following serial numbers at the moment-

Sigma 500mm 4.5 - 3003077
Canon 17-40mm - 00869024
Canon Ring Flash - 046880
Canon Mp-E 65mm - 114122

As the clean up continues I'll get more numbers to you.

Thanks for your concern and time.

MJ

Hey Michael
Just wanted to offer my sympathy relating to the burglary, it's every photographers worst nightmare so I sincerely hope that you find a way to get through this.
All the very best
Andy

You have my sympathy also. I hope you come out of it with a satisfactory financial settlement when all is done and dusted, but nothing will compensate you for the time and mess.

I am so sorry to hear your rotten news, and can only echo the above comments, and hope that you will be up and running again soon.
