Souh Platte River Park
I was out by the South Platte yesterday and thought I would share a few images. I found out the 7D has auto ISO (like Nikons) and thought I would try something different. I have been playing around with setting camera on manual, choosing my desired shutter speed, choosing my desired aperture and putting it on auto ISO. It basically would be similar to using AV and TV mode simultaneously. Normally I shoot in AV or Manual mode. I thought this might prove to be a nice advantage when shooting wildlife since they are constantly moving in and out of shadows and since light always changes on these partly cloudy days. Curious what others thoughts are on this technique?

This little House Sparrow was missing a leg and had to balance himself on the branch.

It appears here that the auto iso handled the exposure extremely well! All are really nice shots with the duck being my favorite.

Cute "moon". Looks like the exposures are spot on.

When I noticed the 5D-2 had auto-iso, I immediately dismissed it. Your description of its benefits is something I never would've thought of, and that's a great idea. Thanks for the tip!

All these shots are really nice, too. Great moon shot!

I like the goose with the reflection. Looks good exposure wise.

Nice shots Kurt. Like the yellow eye in the ring-necked duck.
