Winter wonderland
I've been looking forward to this. Nice winter landscape and a roe deer in it. This time a calf. His mother was close by but couldn't get her in the frame. It's not unusual that a male calf growes a set of tiny antlers. I think this will be a very dominant male once he growes older.

Thanks guys. A buck in winter landscape will be hard to find I'm afraid. They loose there antlers in november/december.

Hey Edster
Beautiful subject, setting and lovely muted light. A tad central for me, looks like you've locked on with the centre focussing point and not recomposed. Personally I'd prefer to see him positioned a little lower in the frame and a little more left because it looks like such a beautiful backdrop. Still a cracker though

I'd second Andy P's suggestion of comp Ed - other than that it's a stunner :toast:

A stunner for me - and an easy crop for an editor to make if they want to!!

Hi Edwin,

Lovely shot, has a great frozen feel! Like the pastel shades.

Cheers,

Hi Edwin

Maybe a little more off-centre but the height is right for the virtual legs. Really nice feel to this shot and with all the ingredients you've got, why shouldn't it be? Another winner.

Cheers,
Chris

Lovely image Edwin and what a gorgeous setting, nit covered, but still very nicely done.

Good looking subject matter the winter scene and coldness of it all portrayed well.

Beauty but would like to see a slightly wider view - like your red deer shots.

Hi Edwin. I love this image, a real Winter scene. The above nit on comp would make it a real special shot!

Paul Rosser.
