Hey Pete
Stunning landscape and a stunning scene to have right on your doorstep. I also like the slight curvature in the water, it all works.

That ice is fantastic, and the background ain't too shoddy either. I witnessed that very sunset last night and wish now I had driven along a bit to Loch Morlich.

Great colours and those stacked ice sheets are superb. I've got a nice view of the M4

Beautiful image and I love the colours of the sky and the texture's and shapes of the ice in the foreground

Can you get back to being controversial please? Spending time taking photographs and turning out shots like this is not on.
Great ice. What was MH thinking of with this on the doorstep?
Cheers,
Chris

The beauty of winter in the Highlands eh - worth all the travelling to elsewhere to get shots like this round the corner so to speak.
Love the ice sheets in particular.

Very atmospheric shot and the layers of ice are "icing on the cake"!
Love it..
Great view, just wonder if a touch more contrast in the mid distance would improve it even more?

I've reached the conclusion that I don't know what a 'good' shot is!
Every time I put something up that I consider 'so-so' like this for example, it seems to strike a chord. When I put something up that I'm REALLY excited about, nobody bothers! It's obviously me but thanks all the same!

Pete,
I think its a nice shot...and it works well. I'm sure you may have been able to get more of a pastel feel by reducing the grads on the top. For me personally I think the foreground would benefit from a tad more local contrast. I would also have been interested to see a blended version of this...winters only just began so plenty of chance!?
