No rocks in this pic. Enjoy. My lucky day, a tame Harrier!

A beautiful and flawless portrait!
Extra kudos for capturing a catchlight in its eye.

What a bird! Glad he's "tame"--I don't think I'd like to be on his bad side :-)

What kind of a lens?

Great shots Bill. I really like the one of him stretching his wing.

Very nice capture Bill. Harriers are a lot of fun to watch fly.

Bill, loved your harrier and crane shots. I just got back from Socorro too and agree with you...much fewer cranes and geese, but the harriers were pretty active, and the coyote roaming around was quite a beautiful one. Did you get to see him? I'd love to send you a return harrier shot, but am new to this site and haven't figured out how to upload it to this message, so that will have to wait. Ever go down to White Sands when you were down Socorro-way? Lots of beautiful shots there, too. Rebecca, Estes Park,CO.

Rebecca, I saw a number of coyotes including a pair hunting close to the roadway and another hunting geese. Actually I really like to film coyotes. No I have never been to White Sands although I've thought about it a few times. You can email me a harrier shot if you want, just click below on the Email icon.
