Eagle in tree
Well they are back. The weather is cooling down and the river is locking up,Down to 1 tonight so that should help. There were a few working today and I caught a few decent shots. Looks like I will get the new lens figured out,and seems to work fine.
Olympus E510 Sigma 50-500 1000mm EQ 1/640 F9 ISO 400 Cropped 1/3 to get rid of limbs & removed some on right side.

Looks like you have the lens figured out, Kendall. Love the details you captured in the feathers and the warm lighting!

Beautiful shot. I believe they purposely perch behind branches to deny us of a truly "perfect" shot.(LOL)
The river you speak of, is it the Mississippi? Thanks for sharing.

For Bruce and anyone else the river is the Mississippi.

Nice Capture!

Looks like you may want to clean-up the area on the right where you may have tried to remove some distracting branches. The clone tool should get rid of in without any problems.
Very nice majestic shot.

Beautiful! I agree with Mike about seeing the evidence of your retouching on the right side. Should be easy enough to clean it up though. I would almost be tempted to crop out some of that right side. Either way, it's a gorgeous image!

If only they would land on a single branch with a nice blue sky as the background. I would just crop the photo to excude the problem on the right.
