Coal Tit
This was taken on my one and only ever encounter with these little crackers. I managed four shots, and then they were gone. Am I correct in my ID?

All C&C welcome.

Nikon D300 with Nikon 200-400/F4. 1/400 sec @ F4, ISO 400, EV -0.7 HH.

Your ID is correct. The Coal Tit is easily distinguished by the white stripe on top of his head, as is just visible here.
A very nice portrait and the neutral coloured background works really well in this instance.

If this is your only encounter with the species I think you can chalk it up as a very successful one. My only criticism is that there is a lot of wasted space at the top and that I think it could do with a crop up there.

Hello Mike.

A good capture of a bird that never stays still long enough.

I would agree about losing some from the top and I think I would also try and brighten the eye a little.
