Funny buzzard
Shot this buzzard from a hide on the ground with a rabbit but so now and then he paused from feeding and flew in a spruce. As he landed snow was falling on his head from a branch above his head. Made me laugh even when it was -15C and my hands were freezing off. Had a great morning.

iso 200 1/400 sec. f/4

Wow, this is good
The falling snow *and* the snow bouncing off him too. A perfect perch as well.
The expression is wonderful too...
Was it cropped? I don't suppose here's a *little* more there to add to the left and top?

Hi Edwin,

Great image. Could be a bit big in the frame but if were smaller, I think you'd lose focus on the snow falling on its head.

Nice to see the tail and feet too.

Nice! He looks a bit perplexed by the snow.

Excellent Edwin and, as Ian says, the bird looks puzzled by the conditions :toast:

Very nice... Buzzards are a species I want to make a project of next year, I am always amused by them.. a formidable Raptor but oh so shy and apprehensive... if I can achieve anything close to this I will be happy....

We are at -1 ish and it seems the whole country has come to a standstill
