This has been covered before and I recall someone posting a guide line for magazines, but I am unable to locate it again. This is for a book protraying the Detroit Tiger Stadium teardown with some images that no one else has achieved. Looking for guideline, thanks.

I would offer it for free, an image on a book cover is a great credit. Go ahead and release it for free, and you may pay for a copy too. Sorry but that's the truth these days.

You're probably talking about fotoQuote. It's a great source for pricing, including book covers.

And no, I wouldn't give it away for free on a bet.

Thanks Hank, I have no need to enhance my ego with credits, just show me the $$$.

Now you're talking! :toast:

Here it is. Best buy we've ever made in any aspect of photography. We had "guessed" that a proposed job in a new discipline was worth around $1k. If we'd quoted that, I'm sure the folks would have accepted. But after buying fotoQuote and using their numbers and negotiating advice, we "reluctantly" negotiated back down to $14k for the job. Sigh. The sacrifices you sometimes have to make to win a bid. :jump:
