fishhawk falls
I loved the moss covered trees and rocks mixed with the whites of the water

Ok so I am asking for some advice here, I have had several people say that I should have used a polarizer in my photos no biggie, the problem is that I do use one on almost all my shooting so are the affects from something else?.

I think we like to see more detail in the water, instead of just white. Maybe do two exposures, one for the water to get some more detail out of it, and one for the earth and blend them together. On my screen, the lower water is really blown out. It might help if you put some camera data down so others can express their experiences with shooting water at what speed works good and so forth.

Ahhh, moss and water. What better way to say PNW. I love the combination too, and really need to work on getting more water shots in my portfolio.

I agree that taming the highlights would be a great step to bring out more water detail. (Cliff's recommendation to post the camera data is excellent.) I also find that I have to bring up the saturation a bit to match what my eye sees in the colors of the moss and trees (but maybe that's just my rose-colored, or should I say green-colored, glasses  ).

Wade. I like the composition on this one. The triangle shaped rock in the foreground is really nice. I agree with the comments from other posters above. - Scott
