Seasonal Kingfisher
One from last year but in keeping with the season and recent conditions :smile:

With thanks for all the advice and comments given since I joined the forum a few months ago...and just to wish everyone on UKNP/NPN a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and successful New Year :toast:

taken with Canon EOS30D with Canon EF70-200 f/2.8 L IS lens at 200mm, f/2.8, 1/250thsec, ISO400 and fairly heavy crop

Nice!, Strangely, I always associate these with summer and don't recall seeing a shot with snow. Well done!

a lovely shot Jeff, would be near perfect if the perch were fully in focus on the right hand side.

A very different KF shot with the snow but brings the colours out wonderful,really like the crop makes the image for me,very nice :wink: :wavey:
