Depite the efforts of joggers and dog-walkers (who always appear at just the wrong time however far from civilization you think you might be) I managed to get quite a few shots of these Redwing and also Fieldfare over the last 3 days, there's more on my Flickr.

Lovely Redwing in it's environment Nigel.
The berry in it's beak is a real bonus!

Striking bird as always and a berry bonanzer to be hold. Most unusual the berry caught between the tail feathers to give a original flavour to the scene.

A very nice classic Redwing pose but the berry between the tail feathers gives it something a bit different - well spotted Nigel

Beautiful! Did you use a car for a hide to get yourself close?

Excellent image! Especially with the berry. Usually they get partially obscured by branches. Haven't seen any this year yet.

Great image Nigel! Nice vibrant colour and as mentioned, no branches over the bird which is always a bonus.
Cheers,
Lewis.

Another one of my target species for this winter, if I get one as good as this I will be pleased.

Beautiful Redwing in its enviroment shot and the berry makes that bit more interesting.
