Analog treasure hunt
I found a few long-forgotten images as I was searching through some of my older 6x7cm transparencies recently, and scanned this one to work on later. I guess I was Cloudman even before I knew I was Cloudman! This was shot in Leadking Basin in the Elk Mountains, looking toward the Ruby Range to the south, probably 14-15 years ago.

That's a pretty good find there Todd. Looks like you could do a little selective color on the whites to reduce a bit of cyan, but that's just one interpretation.

This is an excellent composition and a superior scan, IMO.
Sure, it could be tweaked a bit in the 'darkroom', but it's a fine base image to start.

I love the comp, Todd. The soft, open lighting in the trees is really nice too.

Really nice Todd! Wonder if those pine trees still look this green now.

Two thumbs up on this one, Todd! Show us more!

What scanner are you using? Just for web presentation, or for print purposes?

Still using Microtek 120tf for 6x7cm and 35mm (it's marginal for 35mm) and Epson 3200 for 4x5. Each does a respectable job with the largest format it'll handle, but they're not drum scanners, that's for sure!

Ah yes, a legacy of shots from the "Cloudman". Great shot.
