The clarity of detail is a bit special here Major - one of the most pleasing Red-leg shots I've seen in a while :toast:

Not quite sure I understand the crop

Pin, pin sharp Major, with an unusual perch.

As Andy has highlighted quite rightly, the clarity and detail are flawless with great lighting where it counts. Never a great lover of a square format, however...

Brilliant. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Stunning shot! Love the colors of these beautiful birds wich we do not have unfortunately..
Square crop works fine for me with this one..

The perch by the way is not so unusual as you frequently get game birds perched on them.
It is of course a seed feeder for game birds. It does also tend to attract other species besides game so look out for Yellowhammer, Dunnock & Robin etc.
A good place to stake out if you have got one available.

I like this... I normally only see the rear as they scurry away over the fields, I like the setting too, and strangely although I too am not a big fan of square crops it works here...

Great detailed shot Major. What on earth has it landed on?

Ah, a partridge on a feeder.
Great detail and lovely light.

Agree totally about how many birds gather at feeders. Although with us it's not just birds, but also deer looking for a taste of the aniseed I put in with the wheat.
