Minor Details
An imtimate view down at the Palos Verdes Peninsula in Los Angeles.

I have never been down here but I really enjoyed the few hours spent down there. Once get off the freeway and head up the hill, the amount of people begins to shrink.

No focus bracketing on this one.

If you would like to see a picture story on the place click on my blog link below.

I really liked the one you posted at ESS, and I like this more intimate view just as much. The detail and color is great! Nice find! :toast:

Dang dude, did you get all those beach shots from your blog in one day? Wow, very productive trip. Great shots, I like this a lot. :toast:

Thanks guys! I've been trying abstracts for about 6 months and finally I got something I liked. It's a lot easier in place with patterns galore.

Ben, yes all in one afternoon except for the last distant view shot at twilight. I usually never process more than 1 or 2 from an afternoon or morning but I fought the traffic so I had to make it worth while.

Awesome Steve. I really love the metallic-looking colors

Steve, these formations appear almost like something not to be found in nature, very amazing stuff. Great work.

Holy crap this one is awesome! The twilight picture on your blog reminds me of Shi Shi beach (or the pictures I've seen from there.)

Very nice indeed Steve! That is my old stomping grounds. I grew up right next to PV and used to surf up there all the time locals or not. That lighthouse is one of the best active lights in SoCal. And the rocks, fiinger reefs, etc... provide tons of photographic opportunities. What you came away with in such a short time is impressive! You were all over the place. Just be a bit careful. Some localism still exists and when they see a camera they assume you may be trying to capture their waves on film/digital which get very good at time BTW.

Fabulous photo Steve. I also enjoyed the tall vertical version on your blogsite.

Thanks guys, to get there and back I took 5 different freeways and travel up PCH. Hope to make it back there sometime.

Derek, thankfully I didn't experience any of that but everyone was pretty much very friendly and informative to a smiling stranger.

What a fascinating piece of rock. I could spend hours arranging compositions here. Well seen and captured!

Very nice work Steve. I'm enjoying your details images from this location. Reminds me a bit of Salt Point SP up here in my back yard. Your images are definitely inspiring!
