I would love to be out taking pictures right now but the weather has brought me down with a cold so I have gone on a search for pictures elsewhere. Clearing room on my hard drive I came across this shot from this fall....only minor levels and curves done, no saturation increas, actually I am thinking of lowering the saturation on the aspens a touch.
Enjoy!

PS The smaller image just doesn't seem to do it justice, looks even better bigger.
Nice! I love the chaotic look of the broken trees on the right and the sky is pretty sick too.

We did have a great fall this year, didn't we? Thanks for sharing this beautiful pic.

Wow, looks like Xerxes decapitated Sneffels! I like the gold aspens just the way they are. Cool shot, JG, hope you feel better soon.

Awesome shot, keep the aspens as is.

Thanks for sharing this neat shot. First reaction was wow! Like the contrast of the aspen against the mountain and foreboding sky.
A recipe to soothe your cold: Mix honey and lemon to taste in boiling hot water and add Irish whiskey to taste. Drink while soaking in hot bath is optional. After two, you will be singing Irish fight songs and forgot about cold.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Nice image. Can't beat those stormy looking backgrounds and diffused lighting.

The aspens look real nice. The color looks great on my monitor. Very nice image Jody. Merry Christmas!

Nice reminder of the fall. It's always nice to come across a new find. It looks slightly underexposed but I usually like that. Get well!

Love the comp and the lighting but I do agree a decrease in saturation of the aspens and foreground would make it look more natural. Like Kalin suggested underexposure can make highlights like aspens appear more saturated than they are. I remember a time before digital when I purposely underexposed my slides for that increased saturation look.
