I have been interested in this Nature Photographers website for some time now but have held back from joining as such because what I see here in the U.K. area is nothing but bird photography in the main whereas in other areas they seem to cater more for people also interested in the nature of landscape and it`s environs. Is it the case that this branch here in the U.K. is only really geared towards budding or practising ornothologists?.

The forum is for all nature related photography, whether that be birds, mammals, flowers, landscapes, macro, etc. etc.
There just happens to be lots of birds posted because they're popular subjects.
The forum is for all subajects as stated above, however the frequency of the type of picture it shows is simply a barometer of what a) time of year it is and b) where peoples interest/efforts lie.
I have just done a count and of the 50 threads on the front page about 15 are not avian, so all is not lost
Ian Ian - come, come, come with us.....the landscapers, the cloud afficionados, the macro peekers, the smudgy blur of running foxers, the creative blur of drag shotters.....we're here too, dont let those ornywhatsits scare you off....there's more than just them here.....trust me..........
