Rich Mountain, Logan County, Arkansas. This double spill was just too good to pass up, even on Christmas Eve. I wish you all the best this holiday season.

Great shot Jan.
Is this high water or do these usually run?
Thanks,
Rod

Great shot! We have some land and family on Rich Mountain, but was never aware of this set of falls. Got any coordinates you might share?

It's down by the end of the Rich Mtn. Byway. There are lots of gas well locations there now, and it's a good gravel road to where I parked (N35 13.708, W093 32.956). There is a logging road that takes off the the left. Follow that past the stream that crosses the road, and then go about 1/4 mile and you will hear the falls down in the canyon to your right. It is steep, but passable. This falls has water a good bit of the time, and eventually feeds into Big Shoal Creek. I have attached another photo that I think is better. I would guess the falls to be around 40 feet high.

Good looking falls, but go back if it snows! The seconds shot is better and not as cloudy looking.

We actually own the land at the corner of 309 where you turn to get there...never knew it was there. What took you to the falls? Are you from up there?
