Roe Deer in the Borders
I went to a place near to Duns in the Scottish Borders were I ahve bee watching Roe Deer on regular basis, mostly to far away to get any decent pictures. So I went back in the snow and got down wind of the area I have been observing and managed to get down quite close to this Roe Deer Doe. Probably as near as I have vr been to these very flighty animals

Hi Ron,

She is very alert and is about to run off isn't she? You can tell by the rear end. She opens up
the large white "tail"

Lovely shot. A bit central in the frame but I do like it. Exposure is spot on.

Great fieldwork Ron and a super pose and image, as noted above perhaps a wee bit too central.

Focus looks to be nailed where it should be on this one.
Central composition is easily fixed by a crop and faffing about worrying about composition in the heat of the moment can sometimes mean missing out on the shot altogether.

Good new year to you when it comes :toast:
