I am interested in making some 11 x 14 and/or some 16x20 prints. I am confident in my composition, but not so much in my photoshop abilities. I'm looking for an online service that will perform some basic photoshoping to my file and then printing - I know that the photoshoping enters into some personal choice - but I am not lookingfor anything fancy - basically make sure the colors are good.
Any suggesitons.
West coast imaging will do that for you. I have never used that service, but their print quality and customer service are great. Comes at a bit of a price though.

I use Nations Photo to have my prints colors corrected and printed in their LUSTRE finish. You can check their website for details and prices.
I agree with Floris. West Coast Imaging is hard to beat. Their Exhibition Prints are fabulous. One of the printmakers will do the Photoshop work to your specifications. I strongly encourage you have them send you a proof print. It costs extra, but will save you and them a lot of time.
They will make the proof and then send it to you. Once you get it, use a fine point sharpie to mark it up showing crops, dodges, burns, color corrections, etc. You will then send the marked proof back to them. You can arrange to actually speak with the printmaker to be sure you're on the same page. I have done this, including working from a proof, and the prints were perfect!
Highly recommended!

Thanks for the info. I checked out both websites. West Coast looks like it provides a comprehensive service - but at a price that makes me want to develop my PS skills ASAP. Part of my problem is that at my current skill level I can certainly see and appreciate the difference between a "before and after" but I don't identify all of the areas in need of improvement when presented with just the "before."
