Managed a couple of hours out this morning at one of my local patches, a pair of Purple Sandpipers kept me entertained for most of the time and provided a couple of images that I was pleased with.... and yes the incline is that steep, I did have one tripod leg above me and two below and I was moving in an involuntary downward direction as the bird was heading upwards..
Hope you all had a good Christmas and all the best for 2010...

Unusual perspective, but works very well creating a lovely image.

Nice sharp image Phil. Nice eye contact too. Not sure about the OOF bottom right corner. It seems to draw my eye a bit but still I would be very happy to have an image like this.

Unusual is the word, you can see the additional effort the bird is making too. Well caught.

Certainly an unusual perspective, but the angle, colours and textures on the rocks make for a great shot Phil. Like it very much.

Nice one Phil, this is one of my target species this winter, I was on Filey brigg a week last sunday, with the temp at -9 trying to capture one of these little buggers.

That's steep!! I think the background layers work particularly well here.

I love the diagonal lines in this Phil, they all match with the pattern on the belly and flanks of the "Purp", good complimentary colours and the contrasting green helps make the bird pop; excellent!
