The snow and wind finally relented today so I got out to make some late afternoon images at Streamway Parks. I hope my boss will understand ... photography first, work second this week as long as the snow lasts!

I hope your boss understands too. Mine is starting to understand, it helps that I get rainy days off though.
Nice shot. I wish we would have got as much snow as you did. We definitely received all of the wind, and still are.
Again, nice shot. The creek swings nicely through and the bridge adds to it.

Wayne, a perfect winter scene! How much snow did you get in your area?

Nice image Wayne. You sure got a lot more snow than we did.

Good job Wayne. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot, Wayne! I like the sweeping curves of the creek through the frame.
How much did you end up getting? We had somewhere between 8-10 in. in south Topeka. It was blowing around so much, hard to measure. I didn't feel brave enough to even venture out since the city streets were such a horrible mess. I got stuck this morning coming into work today - not a fun experience.

That's a nice peaceful looking scene, considering the ferocity of the wind. Nice job Wayne. I wish we had gotten that much snow, and I wish my boss was that understanding.
You definitely go more snow than we did in Newton. I was hoping for a bit more. Beautiful image.

Nice shot Wayne, I really like the sweep of snow in the foreground.

Nice one, Wayne. We totally missed the snow here in central Kansas. My brother came back from Manhattan on 12/23; when he got home on 12/26 he had to dig his way into his house :).

Yes, your boss needs to understand
Gotta grab these fleeting moments........

Thanks everyone.
The Kansas City metro area received 12" of snow (plus or minus 3") beginning on Christmas Eve and falling through Sunday. The winds were howling most of the time, gusts up around 40 mph.
I don't recall there being a blizzard warning for the KC metro area proper before this year but that could be attributed to just my bad memory. Cold today with more snow on the way tomorrow. To steal Tim E's phrase .... YIPPEE!!!

YIPPEE!!! is right..... A very well done conversion to b&w Wayne. The comp is right on for the scene.

Wow, beautiful black and white treatment on this, Wayne. And the composition just sings. I'm glad to know your boss is so understanding...must be a real nice guy!
