I love the frosty setting and the alert doe looks ideally positioned in the scene too. They do indeed look great in their winter coats.

Superb composition and tremendous atmosphere here.

The muted colours work well as does the composition; it is a fine image. For printing, I think I would try to remove the rusty-coloured plant (Rumex sp?) on the edge of the tree line. I don't think this contributes in positive way to the rest of the image - but just my opinion.

Totally agree with Phil S.
Otherwise a superb habitat shot
She doesn't look too alarmed by your presence Edwin.
It goes without saying that this is a good shot because you took it and I would expect little else. However, the scragginess (I always like to teach you new words!!) of the plants on the left for some reason detract a little for me, as does the slightly too in focus backdrop but both are pretty minor nits for an otherwise lovely image.
Hope you and the family are all well and I hope that 2010 brings you all that you wish

Cracking shot, great composition. Really sharp and crisp considering handheld at 1/60s with that lens combination! Cliff
