Here's Looking At You Kid
No Humphrey Bogart but it's the only thing I can think of when I look at this.

There was a time when I may not have liked this shot simply because of the branch, I know it kinda bites. But nature photography is just that, nature and what is offered at that moment. I will always be greatful for the opportunities I get, and I'm good with that.

Now if the bluebirds would just cooperate, I would be good with that too.

Unless you create artificial setups for bird photography you have to take what nature gives you. I like the shot. Great pose!

Brad, this is a neat photo. I'd post it in "Avian" if you haven't already.

The front-on "look" is engaging. The crispness of the black eye patches contrasted with the slightly blurred head crest makes the "looking at you" very intense.

The slightly blurred snow, in my mind, adds to the ambiance of the photo.

Neat color, good composition.

One of your better submissions I think

I really like the engaging look Brad, nice timing on the capture. I love the stunning coloration of the Cedar Waxwings and this is a great look at the eye patch.

I've only seen these on two occasions and haven't ever had the good fortune to have them present when I had a camera in hand. Really nice work, keep them coming!

good job, Brad, I like the pose and how the background compliments the bird nicely, the snow is icing on the cake

Nature photography can be pretty frustrating until you learn to be happy with what mother nature provides.

I like the snowflakes and those waxwings are a wonderful bird.

I like this shot Brad. I really love how you have captured the snow in this and your earlier bird post.

I don't think any of the branches are distracting, and they lend to the sense of depth. This is a great image. Heck I'd love to have a shot half as good.
