I just posted a gear review of the Oboz Yellowstone Light Hiking boots on my blog. Read the full review here. Comments are invited and always appreciated.

That's a pretty good endorsement Bret. I'll certainly look into them. I have more or less the same problem as you with a more narrow foot and couldn't find a good shoe/boot until I went to REI and they recommended a pair of Asolo Fugitive GTX boots. They are geared toward a narrower foot. Like you they fit right out of the box and are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever had...I used to be a big Vasque fan. They are pricey at $200.00 but to me they are worth the cost.
I will surely look into the Oboz and see if they are available locally. I like your review and mostly the price!!
Thanks Bret! My feet also demolish shoes and are funny shaped, so I may give them a whirl. Folks, they're on sale for $75 this minute at Backcountry.com. Some of the other e-commerce sites that Oboz links on their product page are having sales too.

Jack:
I use the Asolo Fugitive for backpacking and it has been a great boot. Fit great outta the box, never blistered and offered great support. Sounds like the Oboz might be what you're looking for in a day hiker.

Jackson: That's a smokin' deal! They must be clearing out last year's model. Backcountry.com is a participating merchant on Bing Cashback, too.

I added photos to the post and some additional information about a new waterproof membrane Oboz is using in their products in 2010.

Bret,
I would probably buy a pair at the $74 price point, however, no shoe above a size 10 is available that I can find for that amount.
