We would all be delighted with these lovely colourful birds, especially when they result in a lovely photo.

More than I get in A-in-M, Kim The only unusual bird at the moment is our resident
Amazonian parrot still thriving after four years freedom. Very nice comp and POV.
I'm yellow with envy. Been trying to get one of these for ages. Lovely detail in the face and nice composition.
Doesn't JR make you sick. I'm going round in the dark to plough up his garden

Beauty! These have been frustrating me for a couple of years. They do appear in my garden, usually five minutes before I have to go to work and always on dull days. I would love to have taken this.

Beautiful shot Kim, nice pose, good perch - what else can I say.
I'm curious, were you in a hide, or is this just a grab shot? I don't seem to get these in the London area, I've only seen them in Leicestershire. One I'd love to have.

Hi - thanks for the comments - really appreciated. No Mike I was not in a hide - we do seem to get reasonable amounts up in the Midlands and North; although they have decreased in the last 5 years, there are one or two regular sites. However I was lucky it stayed put for a few minutes!

Hi Kim
the composition is lovely, possibly a little large in the frame but excellent image

Great setting and the background compliments the bird nicely!
